Physical Activity Participation
We have started a 60 minute-a-day physical activity program at our school. We do this Tuesday through Thursday. On Monday's, with a smaller class, we have started the new All in Inclusion Club. This includes the special Education children at our school who would not otherwise get any extra physical activity time. Wheelchairs and all, we are playing football, basketball and other sports, geared toward their ability levels. This is working out great! Thanks!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Our Jaylen, who is in a wheelchair, does not have the arm strength to make a basket on her own. I simply catch it half way and continue until it makes it into the basket.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

This will run until the end of the program (almost until June) and then start back up again in the Fall.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The special Education Kids are so excited to hit the gym by themselves on Monday. No more watching others. They are now included.
