Our Fuel Up to Play 60 team decided it is was necessary to collect cereals to support needy families in our community. Many students do not have access to healthy food on the weekends due to poor economic conditions in our county. Several programs have been set up to promote healthy eating over weekends and long breaks from school. Our team worked to collect over 75 boxes of cereal during our homecoming parade. We used promotional materials from the Fuel Up to Play 60 program and the Dairy Council to decorate our float. Despite the poor weather conditions, many people came our to donate cereal and to support our team.
