Ayanna M.really stepped up to the plate during the FUTP 60 Summit this past July winning, $1,000 for the school with her innovation challenge idea to waste less food. The school will soon be taking steps to implement her idea by using the funds to start a grab and go station with properly proportioned serving sizes. The summit also allowed Ayanna to break out of her shell and step up to become an outspoken student leader. Since the Summit she has became Vice President of her Class as well as President of FUTP 60. This is the first year that FUTP 60 will be in Pottsgrove High School. The entire FUTP 60 team is working hard at spreading the word at the school and they have a great Kick Off event planned in order the get the ball rolling.
How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?
As a team, we plan to get as many students and teachers involved as possible in order to make this Play last. When people feel like they are a part of something, they tend to stick to it rather than feeling like they are being forced into something.
