In-Class Physical Activity Breaks — Good For Mind and Body

Our students and teachers love our in-class activity breaks using GoNoodle. It is so much fun (and easy for teachers), and there are so many different kinds of activity breaks to choose from. Most of the time, teachers will choose fun and active songs or videos for their kids to get up and get moving after they have been sitting and working for a while. There are also cool down and breathing exercises that help students focus on mindfulness. I know kids go home and do these videos there as well. What a great way to for them to use their devices in an active way instead of just sitting and starring at the screen. They are learning while moving. Win-Win!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

We are seeing academic improvements as well as an increase in focus during lessons after GoNoodle is utilized. We all know kids are not wired to be able to just sit and listen for an extended period of time, but we also know that is what a lot of school time is. By incorporating activity Brain Breaks throughout the day, students are getting extra movement minutes. It is also helping them focus on their work after they have the opportunity to get up and get some wiggles out.
