Fitness Kit Helps get Kids Physically Fit
Our school's FUTP60 "Team Captains" demonstrated some of the ways to incorporate the materials contained in our School Fitness Kits. Teachers could review pictures and videos of the team captains using the equipment with their students, and sign out the equipment to use during recess. Students participated in jump rope competitions and races, speed hurdle challenges, and agility ladder games. Teachers timed teams as they made their way through obstacle courses, and winning teams won cool FUTP 60 swag! The students as well as the teachers really enjoy the materials in the Fitness Kit, and use it as one of many ways to Fuel Up to Play 60!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The program advisor explained each tool and how it could be used. Students took that direction and interacted with each tool to see the different ways they could exercise with the equipment. The program advisor took pictures of students using the equipment to show other students how it can be used.
