Our Fuel Up to Play 60 leadership team hosted a Monroe Family Feed and Meet the Chef Night. Our team served those in attendance baked potatoes and toppings, dessert and milk (chilled in our Fuel Up to Play 60 coolers). The chef discussed healthful cooking tips and created an appetizer for all in attendance. Our entire student body and their families were invited to this event. Posters advertising the event were made and displayed by our FUTP 60 team.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students met with the advisers to determine the Play and to brainstorm how to carry out the plan. Students talked with admin. to inform them what the team was planning. The team determined that RSVPs could be gathered more efficiently by inviting parents attending parent teacher conferences, and asked admin. to take care of the RSVP table. The team met with the chef and lunch personnel to learn about safe food handling and to determine how the team could assist in serving.
