FUEL UP TO STACK UP WORLD RECORDS DAY

McNeil Elementary of McKinney Texas ISD is promoting Dairy at Breakfast and Lunch to fuel our bodies. We are hoping to set a new Guinness World Record by joining Stack Up 2016, in which the most people stack cups in multiple locations around the world in one day.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students and adults work together by promoting the challenge and creating a design that incorporated both dairy and cup stacking.

How did you accomplish your goals?

All staff and students are going to work together to make sure everyone stacks cups for 25 minutes or more on World Records day, which is November 17th. We will be stacking cups before and after school, in PE, recess, and in class for brain breaks.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge we face was with our fourth-grade students, since they also had a Texas program the same day In order to overcome that obstacle, we added a routine using the cups and then had students and parents work together to build a Texas sizedo stack.
