Fundraising with Physical Fitness
Instead of doing the usual fund raising events, such as selling cookies and other various items, we chose this year to participate in a fund raiser event called Boosterthon. It featured students collecting funds based upon their ability to run a certain number of laps (30-35). Parents and other community members were invited to come out and support this activity, and every student was able to run at least 30 laps around their "track."

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The students enjoy running around the school's track, around the gym, and during recess and seldom complain about "being tired."

How did students and adults work together as a team?

There were incentives for each student and each class based upon the amount raised. Also, part of this fund raising event contained daily videos focused on various social skills.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

I will take some of the concepts from the finale - the Fun Run - and incorporate them within my field day towards the end of the school year.
