The Northern Guilford Middle School Fuel Up to Play 60 program offers exciting Community Playtime for participants and it's good for everybody! The Fuel Up to Play 60 club meets three times weekly, meeting before and  after school. We have teamed up a wide range of community organizations to offer exciting and wonderful opportunities for our students to learn new skills, activities and leadership/character traits and qualities. FUTP 60 provides activities to which students otherwise would not have access. 

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students and staff work closely together to plan, implement and provide a program that best suits the interest, wants, and needs of the program. Students are actively engaged in providing valuable information and suggestions about activities and events that they would like to see be a part of our program. Students and staff work together to promote and make sure all the FUTP 60 events are special, engaging, and fun for all! Students are truly the MVPs of our FUTP 60 program.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The FUTP 60 program at NGMS permeates the entire school climate. Physical Activity and Healthy Lifestyles are a part of everything we do. The administration, teachers, students and families all realize the importance of the FUTP 60 program. Research has proven consistently students who are healthy, physically active and eat nutritious foods perform better in school. The FUTP 60 program incorporates leadership/character education helping students excel in all their endeavors in and out of school.
