Community Involvement, Physical Activity Participation
The students at Nicolaus Copernicus School - PS #25 in Jersey City, NJ participated in a huge kick-off event in October. The students worked together to complete various activities in the gym. They did a football toss, a relay race, an obstacle course and partner throwing, all while wearing their favorite football jersey! The students watched the Fuel Up to Play 60 Kick Off video and then shared ideas on how to be healthy, which were hung around the gym on little footballs. The school has carried on teaching about healthy lifestyles with many different opportunities during the school year. The students participated in the Jump Rope for Heart program and raised nearly $2,000 for the American Heart Association. We are committed to teaching our students about living a healthy lifestyle!
