We, at Skyview Middle School, are bringing our mission to eat healthy and get active to our school and community. We went to a local business who provided funds to bring in 15 large containers of organic, low sugar snacks! These were passed out to classrooms so students could try a delicious alternative to the sugary snacks they were eating. One teacher reported that her students loved them and wanted to add them to the school snack choices at games. We are excited that a community member believed in the mission of FUTP 60 and supported us financially to make this healthy snack challenge happen. We also created a video to share FUTP 60 with all the students at Skyview Middle School. Our Broadcasting Class was the perfect avenue to create a video to share with our student body. In addition we are implementing getting more active at recess and adding in class quick active brain breaks to keep us learning at the top of our game! We have to add one more thing - our FUTP 60 team added a weekly sports and fitness trivia question to our end of day announcements that added an element of friendly competition across grade levels!!
