Kirksey Middle School holds a FUTP 60 breakfast every month. They student team has made posters to promote the event. They mingle with all the students to make sure everyone feels welcome. Music is played and they even do a little exercise before their day begins. A drawing for FUTP 60 prizes is held at the end. The cafeteria at Kirksey generally sees a 20-25% increase in breakfasts on the days when the event is held. The cafeteria is also working on a daily grab and go breakfast option for students who do not arrive at school in time to sit down and eat, but could eat during homeroom.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

We have an increase in breakfast numbers and hopefully are raising awareness about the importance of breakfast.
