How did students and adults work together as a team?
Students spend a lot of their day sitting down. Students asked teachers for breaks from their work. Teachers agreed to give breaks, but students needed to be physically active for short periods. Students and teachers decided on physical activity breaks between subjects.
How did you accomplish your goals?
Teachers scheduled several breaks throughout the day to help with students stay focused and on task. Teachers utilized movement exercises, stretching, basic plyo metrics to ensure that students moved toward increasing blood flow to the brain.
What improvements have you seen at your school?
Students are less likely to be disruptive in class. Students seem to be on task more. Students acquire knowledge due to increased blood flow to the brain and lack of concentration.
