Physical Activity Participation

We held an outdoor school-wide dance for our FUTP 60 Kickoff. It was "glow" themed and we had black lights everywhere, with glow sticks, glow face paint, glow balloons, etc. We had our PE teacher lead a fitness challenge halfway through the dance and give a quick talk about nutrition and being active. The kids danced and ran their little hearts out, and the school and parents are all now in the loop about our FUTP 60 program being launched.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We had a meeting with all student representatives and advisors for the program and brainstormed ideas to get the Kickoff going and how to get kids and their families engaged.
