Community Involvement

During the school year, the city of Brownsville has community fun runs. In November, our Garden Park staff, parents, and running club members ran in the Run For Your Heart (Turkey Trot) 1 mile run/walk event.

How did you accomplish your goals?

I was able to accomplish my goal by getting more staff and parent involvement in the Community runs.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Staff and parents are realizing the difference they make by being there for their kids.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

They work together as a team by having parents run alongside their kids.
