During class, we will occasionally take breaks. I give my students a few physical activities to stand and complete and they end up turning it into a contest. Occasionally we will do a quick brain lap and take a brisk walk around our building and then come back to complete our assignment.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Keeping them quiet and to walk quickly. We actually practiced what the expectations were and if they were not met, we started over. Took a few times, but now they get it. We track our time to try and improve our brain lap.
