Community Involvement
We invited students and staff from a school that is low on resources to a sports/fitness day at our school led by students.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students did all the planning of the events under the guidance of teachers, teachers secured the space, food, and transportation. The event was an idea of the students.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students here became grateful for what we have and were happy to reach out and help others. They want to continue to educate others on the benefits of being healthy.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

There were a lot of logistics, but one of our teachers stepped up and made it all happen. She worked with the other school, made sure we had chaperones, permission slips, and a nurse.
