Physical Activity Participation, Student Leadership, Success with Funds
This winter, Coon Rapids Middle School partnered with the American Heart Association to hold an after-school dodgeball tournament. The tournament promoted physical activity as well as raising money for the American Heart Association. The kids had a blast playing against each other and staff members from the school, all while getting a great work out at the same time. This tournament was made possible by using some of the funding from the Fuel Up to Play 60 program to purchase equipment like new dodgeballs. This equipment is getting used not just in this tournament, but also in gym classes, our AM connections morning program, and our after school fitness program. Thanks FUTP 60!
