Getting Students RAMPED Up!

Our FUTP 60 team worked to design special activities that were shared with all grade levels and even done at a special FUTP 60 event. Over 200 students and parents have benefited from the creation of these Fuel Up to Play 60 games.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Our FUTP 60 team wanted to create games that could be used for recess - what we now call at our school RAMP! The students worked together to create and showcase these games to grades K-5 and at an afterschool event.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The students had to find time to meet with all the stakeholders that were involved: administrators, PTO, cafeteria manager, classroom teachers. They had to work collaboratively to coordinate the afterschool event.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students are very excited to be a part of the Fuel Up to Play 60 Ambassador group to showcase their leadership. The students are very willing to share their unique ideas to really help our school get fueled up with physical play and healthy nutrition.
