Goals Club at the Park

I created a club for physically at risk youth. These were a group of tier 2 students who needed extra support, encouragement, and time to exercise! We spent 6 weeks exercising and learning about how nutrients fuel our body for success. The pictures included are the family dinner night. Families of the group members participated in physical activity games, listened to two nutritionists who came in from our community to talk with families about portion sizes and healthy family meal planning. Then the families created their own salads or wraps for dinner. These kids learned how fun physical activity can be, as well as how much pride they gained from trying new difficult things. They cut out the "I can't" word... Thank you for your support in making this happen!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students and staff worked together to help motivate each other on ways to stay active and find new ways to build muscle!
