Access to Healthy Foods

At MHS, we have a greenhouse that students and teachers are able to use. We grow a wide variety of vegetables and herbs that are used for curriculum, taste tests, and to provide for community members in need. High school students use the greenhouse to provide farm to school lessons for younger students. Students have access to locally grown, fresh foods and are encouraged to try the foods they are helping to grow!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We are working to increase the variety of items grown in and around the greenhouse. We've added a small vineyard and berry bushes. Community members and staff work to make sure things stay watered and keep growing all summer long!
