GOOOAAAALLLLLL!
The students of Thompson Elementary love soccer. They have been asking for soccer goals for the past few years. This year our FUTP 60 team asked our PTA to partner up and help them get a pair of goals for their classmates. The PTA was able to get a donation of a set of used soccer goals. WOOO!! The FUTP 60 team worked hard cutting off the old nets, cleaning them, and helped the PTA put some new bolts on them. With teamwork, some sweat, and grit the kids and adults were able to get the old goals looking new again. This improved recess tremendously by getting more students interested in playing soccer and increasing their VO2 Max.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Our FUTP 60 kids reached out to our PTA letting them know that to impove their recess, they would like some soccer goals. The PTA went out in our community asking businesses for donations. They reached out to a company and got a set of goals donated for recess. The students took over from there.
