GOT MILK??!! MILK TASTING CONTEST HELD AT TWIN PEAKS ELEMENTARY!!
Twin Peaks Elementary School SWAT (School Health Advisory Team) held a milk tasting contest on Tuesday, March 8th, 2016! There were three different kinds of milk available for the students to taste test. They then voted for the one they liked the best and received a “milk moustache.” Attached is a photo from the milk tasting event!!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The SWAT team meets 2x a month under the guidance of the PE Teacher.Students discuss what ideas they have for incorporating eating healthy habits & getting at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day!The students came up with the idea of milk tasting contest & handing out milk moustaches. The PE Teacher got it approved by the Principal and got the local Sprouts store to donate all the milk. The students are creative coming up with ideas & the PE teacher just follows through to make sure it happens!

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

We did not face any challenges! Community members support education and our school district and are always open to helping out our school!
