Gra-Mar Goes to the Farm
We took our FUTP 60 Student Leaders and Life Skills Students to Hatcher Dairy Farms. We were able to hear how calves, cows, sheep, and chicken are raised. We were able to learn about the dairy industry and how they produce milk and eggs. The Hatcher farm is 200 years old and ran by the Hatcher Family, who own 430 acres. Our students have never visited the farm, so this was quite an experience. The students enjoyed the peace and tranquility and did not want to leave. Their big ask is that we return with the entire school next year. I will do my best to make it happen, Thanks NFL, Fuel Up Play 60 and Dairy Alliance for such a Wonderful Experience.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Mrs. Pillow-Jones set up the trip. The hope was to have students experience a day on the farm which is something they had not experienced before. We also wanted the students to taste the difference in farm fresh homemade items.
