Access to Healthy Foods

The students at Poage Elementary are enjoying grab and go breakfast now as a result of our FUTP 60 breakfast kiosk. Students choose their breakfast from the kiosk, located in the hallway, each morning. We have had a significant increase in breakfast participation as a result of implementing the opportunity to get breakfast in a location other than the cafeteria.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The need for more students eating breakfast was identified through our needs assessment. The school administrators and school nutrition staff were supportive our idea to add a breakfast kiosk. Our student FUTP 60 team helped with promotion of the new opportunity.
