Our school returned to the idea of Grab n Go Breakfast after 2 years off. At first, we began with only offering GnG 2 days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We have had such a large interest this year that 75% of our students are participating and our school has decided to make this an everyday opportunity.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We are going to offer taste tests at breakfast and provide more fresh fruit and dairy products for Grab n Go!

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Teachers did not like the idea of the accumulation of trash in their classrooms. So, the county provided trash cans just for Grab n Go and teachers can place them outside the classroom after Grab n Go is over. The custodian will empty them and the food will not be in the classroom.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We let each grade level release for Grab n Go at different times to avoid any rush or delay in getting to class.
