Access to Healthy Foods

The Granville Middle School FCCLA and Elementary are planning, planting, cultivating, harvesting, and cooking up two crops from the garden that fit with the Ohio Science Standards.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Dawes Arboretum, GMS FCCLA, Granville Elem teachers & students, GEVSD Food Service and community members are planning and conducting a garden as a science and eating lab.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We are in the planning and purchasing stage of the garden and will progress to planting, cultivating, and cooking/consuming.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The picture is of the planning stage with a garden plan submitted for the Fairchild Challenge w/community member Craig McDonald, GES/GMS parents, students and community members.
