Gratitude for So Much
Our School received many wonderful items from the Fuel Up to Play 60 team this year. We received the grant and were able to get a new milk cooler, with some left to help pay for an ice cream freezer to assist with fund raising for our department. We also received the Flag Football Kit. The elementary students were so excited to learn how to play Flag Football. The week they started learning, the PE teacher told them I had applied for this equipment. A great number of the students personally thinked me. I told them to get on and play the games on the Fuel Up to Play 60 web site, I have had a few tell me they have signed up. I’m not sure it is very user friendly for the younger students. Our school has also received a Blender to make Smoothies for Breakfast and a-la-cart at lunch. We are deeply grateful to all the help we have gotten this school year. Thanks so much Dairy West and Fuel Up to Play 60. Sincerely, Beth Long Food Service Director at Taylors Crossing Public Charter School.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We were able to buy an Ice Cream Freezer and sell ice cream to our student body. We sell on the 2nd Friday of every month and call it Frosty Friday. The Kids love it and look forward to that Friday each month. On the last day of school, the elementary teachers have what they call a Fun Fair. We are letting them sell ice cream to the students and staff to make the last day a great one. Thanks again for the amazing gift.
