The Fuel Up to Play 60 committee and the science teacher are teaming up to use funds to build a greenhouse to grow fruits and vegetables to donate to a local food pantry. The students are also working with a local farmer to decide which crops to grow when for maximum benefit.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students and the Science teachers, Family and Consumer Science teachers, special education teacher and school social worker all teamed up to contribute ideas based on their area of expertise. The students learned great lessons in team work and cooperation and the entire team benefited from the knowledge of all the very resourceful educators.
