During the last two years, our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students have raised their own garden here at school. The items grown have been used in our cafeteria for all the students to eat at lunch.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We set up the plan of what the students think most of the students would like to eat from the garden and proceeded to grow those things.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

We needed a work schedule so everyone would know their part to make this a success. We needed seeds, we needed workers to take care of water, weeds, and anything else that came up.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Amazing how well the whole thing has come together each of the last two years. People really look forward to working in the garden and seeing just what they have produced.
