Health Hustle 2016 - The Ultimate Kickoff Event

Allen ISD families flocked to the Allen Event Center on Wednesday, October 26, to participate in the 2016 Health Hustle sponsored by the Allen Council of PTAs and Allen Elementary Schools. The Health Hustle introduced students and families to health and fitness resources that are available in our community. More than 200 vendors and health-related organizations filled the main floor, concourse and outdoor area of the event center for the Health Hustle. Estimated attendance was around 7,000. Fuel Up to Play 60 Student Ambassadors manned a Fuel Up to Play 60 booth with Dairy Max school representatives, complete with a photo booth and My Plate game.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Student leaders ran a Fuel Up to Play 60 booth with Dairy Max representatives where students could sign up on the Fuel Up to Play 60 website, take photos with props at the photo booth and compete against friends in a My Plate game.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We plan to have this event every year. We had two schools participate the first year, three the second year and this year we had eleven schools!
