Teamwork

The kids in my group wanted to highlight different healthy foods in our lunchroom. Each day, they selected a different healthy food. If a student bought this healthy food, they were entered in a raffle to win a prize at the end of the week. The team had to organize helpers in the lunchroom and write up volunteer schedules. They also had to advertise and write daily announcements. This was the first task that I stayed back and tried my absolute best to not interfere. It was hard, but, in the end, they did a fantastic job and problem solved every aspect of the play on their own. My team is really hitting their groove. It is great to sit back (facilitate) and watch these amazing school leaders in action.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students put in so much work planning and preparing that not many hiccups happened along the way. If something came up, they were quick to make the correct decision.
