Healthy Life

Access to Healthy Foods, Physical Activity Participation, Student Leadership,  Teamwork

Our main Play that we have been encouraging our students to do is the Healthy Eating Play. We encourage our students to make healthier choices during their lunchtime and take their knowledge home with them to share with their parents. We encourage them to make healthier choices with their families for dinner as well. Our student Ambassador has really taken this challenge to heart. She has made healthy choices every day during lunch, choosing to eat a salad over an unhealthy snack. She has also encouraged her family to make healthier choices at home, and for dinner they have tried multiple different healthier alternatives. She has encouraged her family to go outside and get some physical activity with their dogs and riding bikes.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We accomplished our goals by making healthier choices during our lunchtime and at home. We chose a healthy snack over a non-healthy snack, for example an apple or grapes over a cookie.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We will encourage students to continue to sign up on the FUTP 60 website and help one another make healthy choices during lunchtime and at home.
