Through a grant, our school received the Serving Up My Plate curriculum and money for each student in the school to make and try snack recipes from the curriculum. The Fuel Up To Play 60 committee helped pick the recipes that they thought students would like and that would fit into our budget. The Fruit & Yogurt Cones were a big hit in January! 300 students got to help make and try a healthy snack and discussed what food groups were represented. They were also introduced to serving sizes and measuring and why it is necessary. They are hoping to make more snacks in the future.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We will continue making a different snack in March and April. The team picked a variety of snacks to represent several food groups.
