Heritage Hound Dogs Taste Test Vegetables

We went out and purchased some organic vegetables from a farmers market, and also brought some in from our home gardens. Our student team taste tested five vegetables that some had never tried before, including bok choy, kale, Swiss chard, parsnips, and kohlrabi.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Are goal was to expose our students to different types of farm foods. We were trying to get them to understand that eating vegetables is not only healthy, but can also taste very good.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Our Play was a success because the students found that they liked all of the vegetables they sampled. They stated they are now willing to try some of these vegetables at home with their families.
