The Highland Park team has been exploring healthy options for the school store to sell to the students. Students have been learning about entrepreneurship skills. We recently wrote a grant to the PTSA committee for $750 to help buy initial products to sell at the school store!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students worked with our awesome volunteer from HiWay Federal Credit Union to find funding options for the school store. Together, we wrote a $750 grant that we are hoping to receive. Fingers crossed!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

If we get these funds, this will help cover our start-up costs for products at the store!

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

We have been working with talking with nutrition services to see exactly when we can sell items at the store!
