Access to Healthy Foods, Student Leadership, Other
Prior to National School Breakfast Week, Chef Jill went into multiple classrooms to educate the students on the importance of eating breakfast and how dairy provides nutrients to start their day positively and how to balance their meals with the "My Plate" directive. During the NSBW, the lunchroom staff encouraged the students to take or try at least one dairy product and were very successful promoting healthy dairy products (and have been doing it every since). We passed out the stickers and the students had a great time with the milk mustaches.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
Both the kitchen staff, the art teacher, and myself worked together to promote healthy items and educated the students on how and why dairy products are an important part of a healthy lifestyle.

The amount of students that were lactose intolerant
How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?
Thanks to the Florida Dairy Council for providing materials to educate the children and the kitchen staff, it will be intergrated in Chef Jill's nutrition lesson every year.
