Holman Color Run (2Mile)

On September 12, 2015 Holman Elementary held its first ever 2 mile Color Run. We had over 120 students, parents, teachers, police officers, firefighters, and members of our community come out to support us. The run started at our school and continued through the community and then ended back at Holman. After the run everybody enjoyed healthy snacks and had fun splashing different colors on each other and just enjoyed laughing and being together.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

They stayed together during the run and encouraged each other to keep going and not to give up.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We reached out to our community with flyers and by stopping by the firehouse and police station to invite our servants of the community to join us.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

A lot of people are scared of the word run, so we encouraged them to come and walk, jog, ride a bike, or to skate the course with us.
