Community Involvement, Student Leadership,  Teamwork

We had our Fuel Up to Play 60 lead team of students organize an assembly with someone to talk about the Holocaust. The students made posters, invited community people, and located students from other schools for the experience.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students met on there on time and laid out who was responsible for the different parts of the assembly.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We asked different civic groups to help us find a speaker about the Holocaust. We organized by advertising the event in newsletter, community announcements, invitations and word of mouth.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Challenges were not difficult because of the great communication between the peers and the organizational skills they used. It really enlightened and made a greater awareness to all how important exercise and healthy habits are.
