Students at Lovettsville Elementary teamed up and created a "how to" video for our classroom teachers on how to conduct a simple "brain break". They used physical activity break cards found on The Alliance for a Healthier Generation website. They printed enough cards for all classroom teachers. After filming the video, the students distributed the physical activity cards to the classroom teachers and made announcements about them.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students teamed up with the program advisor to help make the video, distribute the task cards and make improvements.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

We solved our original problem of not having time to visit classrooms in person to demonstrate how to do the Physical Activity break. With the video, teachers can view it on their own time.
