We were awarded $500 from Fuel Up To Play 60 and used it to buy yoga mats and blenders. Our school wanted to promote physical activity within the classrooms during break time. Having these yoga mats available for the students allowed them to try a new physical activity they could share with friends and family outside of school. Our school also put the money towards purchasing brand new blenders that were used to make healthy smoothies for over 500 students during the second chance breakfast.
How did you accomplish your goals?

Students worked with adults as a team to continue motivating all students within Hillside Middle School to get involved with trying a new activity, yoga, as well as allowing students to try five different smoothies on a daily basis for four weeks.
