During parent-teacher conference night, our FUTP 60 Team set up a cheese taste test booth for families to try a variety of cheeses. Families got to try, Havarti, Pepper Jack, Marble jack, Gouda, String Cheese, and Sharp Cheddar. Families had a great time trying a variety of Wisconsin cheeses.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
Mrs. R purchased the cheese. The Janitor set up a few tables. The team made posters to promote the event. Two staff members helped students to cut up and put the cheese in portion cups on trays. Parents make sure students made it to their shift that night. Students had fun promoting this healthy snack. For people who couldn't have dairy, we gave them stickers and FUTP 60 pencils.
What improvements have you seen at your school?
Students enjoyed trying new cheeses and asked about getting them at school more often.
