Our third graders used a reusable jug and pot to plant lettuce using hydroponics. The students were engaged building the container, learning about hydroponics, and watching the lettuce grow every day. All students harvested a beautiful head of lettuce.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Master Gardeners from the county extension office assisted with the project, providing information on what it takes to grow plants using hydroponics.
