The students at Freddy Gonzalez Elementary were reluctant to jog during recess. Then they realized that they were feeling better and looking better. They were telling each other how much better they felt and they no longer have to be told to jog before they play at recess and they remind each other about the benefits of jogging before playing. The Fuel Up to Play 60 program has seen an increase in the number of students being physically active at school and home. In addition, the emphasis of eating healthier in our cafeteria has seen a greater consumption of fruits, vegetables, and milk.
