Classroom teachers have incorporated physical activity breaks in classroom settings. Students have welcomed activity with open arms and enjoy the break in their academic settings. We have noticed an increase in physical activity and student leadership with this plan.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Staff and students got together to collaborate on in-class breaks.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Goals were accomplished by setting up various activities for the school day so students could participate in movement, exploration, and proper skills.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Students routinely will be participating in class break activities selected by student leaders. Students will select an option twice weekly for their class break.
