Students from Woodrow Wilson High School participated in the Mud in your Eye 8K Run along with a couple hundred other individuals. At the end of the race, one gentleman had not crossed the finish line. Several of the students from Woodrow Wilson went back on the course and jogged in with the gentleman that was left, encouraging him to complete the race. Several students were captured running in with him as the crowd cheered them on. It was amazing to see the students decide to go back out on the course and not only encourage the last runner on but to run with him as well.
How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?
We plan to make this Play last during the year and beyond by supporting one another and letting each other know that we have to try new things and step out of our comfort zones to gain new experiences. We cannot do things in isolation and often time we have to be an encouragement to others so that they can pass on that same spirit of camaraderie.
