Our leadership team put together a PowerPoint presentation that was viewed by students before lunch to remind them of healthy choices and consequences. They used alliterative titles and had a silent film food war incorporated in it, too!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We had four adult advisors this year! Three lasted the duration of the year with one of the three leaving for maternity leave toward the end. We usually have a large group of leadership participants, so more advisors allowed us to break the students into groups. In smaller groups they were able to accomplish more with less down (socializing) time. We have been meeting before school for one hour twice a month. It is challenging to have students present both physically and mentally that early in the morning, but it definitely shows the dedicated students. The other adults were wonderful at allowing the students to thrive and explore their imaginations with a goal in mind. We had a fantastic year!
