Jadon's Hope Bug Run
Rolling Ridge has put together a run club for the Fall and Spring. This is to prepare for the Bug Run put on by the school for a student in our building with SMA. All proceeds go to the Jadon's Hope Foundation to help find a cure for SMA. With over 120 participants, and running in the Fall, Spring, and Big Run April 1st. The club as a group will have ran over 5,000 miles total!!

How did you accomplish your goals?

Jadon being our main source of motivation, kids were eager to sign up for run club. Also teachers stepped up in a big way by being at the run club days and also the run itself. We were able to get T-Shirts for everyone involved, and run right past Jadon's house every time we meet for run club. This has not only helped kids stay active but spread the word about SMA as well!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The main improvement we see at our school is the sense of community among students, teachers, parents, and outside businesses.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

By getting as many people involved with run club, the school also made it possible for every student to enroll and run in the race. The school even covered the cost of students if finances were an issue. What a great way to get a whole school involved with such a great cause!
