One of our biggest accomplishments this year was having a large number of students join the team and participate in FUTP 60. Starting FUTP 60 this year, we really wanted to get as many people involved as we could. One way we were able to do this was to promote the program. Students created their own FUTP 60 posters and we hung those around the school.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
After putting up the signs promoting FUTP 60, other teachers in the building encouraged students to join up and complete challenges. Students were excited about it and were often overheard discussing challenges that they have done with their parents and friends.
How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?
We have some students who are willing to volunteer after school to record some examples of "Brain Breaks" that can be taken during class. These videos will be posted on the staff share drive where teachers can go and pull up a video of the Brain Break. Their class can then follow up for a short in class activity.
What improvements have you seen at your school?
More of the student body seem to be more engaged in physical activity and encouraging of each other.
