Happy Hollow students all participated in Jump Rope for Heart. We had two Jump Rope Shows. One was a glow in the dark show showcasing our Happy Hollow Jump Team and it was just awesome! The other was a school wide show with grades kindergarten through fourth participating. Seeing students start out from not being able to even turn a rope and then to see the joy on their faces when they can jump for the first time is such a blessing for us as PE teachers. Our students learned tricks that I didn’t even think it was possible to learn and they put on an exciting and outstanding show for the entire school. Many parents, grandparents and others that came to watch.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Students worked hard every day they came to PE and learned the skills that were needed to put on a very entertaining show for everyone.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

We had a lot of cardio while jumping rope and almost every student in the school improved their PACER scores.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The students love to jump rope and we can always incorporate it into our cardio activities. It seems the students never get tired of jumping rope.
